Account Deletion

Delete Your Account

Effective 21 June 2026

You can delete your BiteCoach account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it — pick whichever is easier for you.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended, instant)

  1. Open BiteCoach on your phone
  2. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
  4. Confirm. Your account and data are permanently removed.

Option 2 — Email us

If you can't access the app (lost your phone, account locked, etc.) email devmusman07@gmail.com from the email address you used to sign up. Include the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.

We will verify your identity (by sending a confirmation link to your registered email) and then delete your account within 7 business days. You will get a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account we permanently remove:

  • Your profile (name, email, password hash, date of birth, height, weight, dietary preferences, allergies, goals)
  • All meal logs, scanned food photos, and macro history
  • All AI coach chat history
  • Generated meal plans and workout history
  • Device tokens for push notifications
  • Authentication sessions

What we keep (and for how long)

We retain a small amount of information after deletion to meet legal and operational obligations:

  • Billing records (if you ever purchased Pro): kept for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting laws
  • Abuse and security logs: anonymised IP addresses and request logs are kept for up to 90 days to protect the service from attack
  • Aggregated, anonymised analytics:usage metrics that can't be linked back to you (e.g., “total scans this month”) are retained indefinitely

None of the retained data is personally identifiable in a way that could be tied back to you after deletion.

Deleting individual data without deleting your account

If you only want to remove specific information (e.g., a meal log or chat message), you can do that inside the app without deleting your whole account:

  • Meal logs: Open the meal → tap the menu → Delete
  • Chat history: Coach tab → Settings icon → Clear conversation history
  • Profile details: Profile → Edit profile / Edit goals
