1. Who we are
BiteCoach is an AI-powered nutrition tracking app provided by BiteCoach (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at devmusman07@gmail.com.
2. The service
BiteCoach helps you log meals, scan food with your camera to estimate macros, follow personalised meal plans, complete light workouts, and chat with an AI coach. The service is currently in private beta on Android. Features and availability may change as we build.
3. Your account
You need an account to use most of the service. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for any activity that happens on your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Nutrition Coach. By signing up you confirm you meet that requirement.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for anything illegal
- Try to break, reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service
- Submit photos or content that infringe someone else's rights, or content that is abusive, hateful, or harmful
- Impersonate another person, use a fake identity, or share your account credentials
- Use automated systems to interact with the service at scale
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Pricing and billing
BiteCoach is free while the app is in beta. Some features described as “Pro” on our site are planned but not yet available. When Pro launches we will tell you the price and terms before charging you. You can use the free tier with no payment information.
6. Your content
The photos, meal logs, weights, and chat messages you create (“Your Content”) belong to you. You give us a non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display Your Content as needed to run the service for you. We don't use Your Content to market to other users or train third-party advertising models.
You can delete Your Content (or your entire account) at any time. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to deleted data.
7. Our content
The app, the website, the branding, and the software belong to us and our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, redistribute, or build derivative products from our materials without our written permission.
8. Medical disclaimer (important)
BiteCoach is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The macro estimates, meal plans, workout suggestions, and AI coach responses are informational only. They are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific health situation.
Always consult a qualified doctor, dietitian, or other healthcare professional before changing your diet, exercise routine, or medication — especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition (including but not limited to diabetes, eating disorders, kidney disease, heart conditions, or food allergies), or are taking prescription drugs. If you experience symptoms or a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services or doctor immediately. Do not rely on BiteCoach in a medical emergency.
9. AI outputs
Some features rely on third-party AI models (currently Google's Gemini). AI outputs can be wrong, biased, or made up. We do not guarantee that any specific output is correct or safe to act on. Treat coach responses, ingredient identifications, and macro estimates as a starting point — not the final word.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific result will be achieved (including weight or fitness goals).
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither we nor our affiliates, directors, employees, or agents will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) US$50.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by a third party arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
13. Termination
You can stop using BiteCoach at any time by deleting your account. We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or for any other reason on reasonable notice. On termination the licences in sections 6 and 7 end, and we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects your rights, we'll give you notice in-app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where BiteCoach is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep the rights that local consumer laws give you.
